Personally, I reckon it looks like a high end single ended class A valve incense burner (or fuming incense stencher if you know your Zappa references) Here is the link for anyone who doesn't know what that long number is for. link

Of all the available colours of the rainbow, why do manufacturers make so much black gear? I wear varilux glasses and simply cannot read the legends on black equipment. What's wrong with red, yellow or royal blue? Put black legends on them and they would be so much more user friendly. I try to buy silver, gold or red when ever possible, does anyone else struggle with reading black gear?
p.s. the colours are to illustrate my point, I won't do it again.
My Pioneer555, buff legend on a black unit, ridiculous

Where does the chocolate go? Pretty sure the Ferreo Rochers go on the top section.

I dislike black kit too. I will choose the alternative every time if there is one. pink isn't my favourite colour but I do think there is far too much conservatism. I loved my little blue Tma3 and I have also cherished the odd "fruity" coloured bit of Rega kit in my time.

I've found it's easier to sell on black kit. I prefer silver though, the reason I know it's easier to sell black kit...

Re. Andrews AR speakers: Hardly anyone knows what these are!
I stupidly let a pair slip through my fingers a few years ago due to a silly misunderstanding. I didn't want to offend the owner with a low price (all I could afford at the time) and he didn't want to offend me. We later met and I found out that he had actually been offering to give them to me because he felt I would give them the respect they deserved. I stupidly thought he was trying to make me offer a high price. We both offended each other and walked away. Luckily when we realised what had happened, we were both grown up enough to see what arses we had each made of ourselves and laughed about it over a pint.
He knows who he is! ????

I really have a thing for semi omnis but I hope someone else gets these. I'm up to 5 pairs of speakers and I don't want to part with any to make room. The four Allison tweeters would be worth a fair bit on their own and the bass units are a match for Snell J (I think) but anyone breaking these up for a profit would be destroying a rare treasure. Somebody make the guy a fair offer and save these...... Not to mention me

I had a pink Sony Walkman (WM-38, I think. The "Soapdish" one.); still have it. You could get pink or yellow. Wasn't struck on the yellow, so it was pink for me.

AR MSTs were little LSTs, if I remember correctly? The LSTs were interesting, as are all older AR Acoustic Suspension speakers. Never heard an MST.

Although the pink kit Everton wore a couple of seasons ago was very fetching.

Black for me. No particular reason. Never felt the need cover up LEDs, though.
