All original as far as I know. One owner from new and reportedly well looked after. The caps are notoriously robust and long-lived so I'm hoping for good things inside and out.

Well, it certainly does look like a good example. Looking forward to reading your write-up!

If only I had a listening room to judge it fairly Given that I've rarely stayed in any home for more than a year, I'm sure it's time will come!

It's big brother apparently delivers its first 60wpc class A but will produce 1kw class AB into 8ohms. I'm sure I read somewhere that it could be bridged too! Maybe for use as an ARC welder

Still waiting for the Dusons to arrive in Cyprus: I've still got the Onix parked back in Blighty. Now I've gone and bought another Sonneteer Campion which is going to a mate to "look after" for me indefinitely. I never thought I'd be into "long distance relationships" but the urge to dabble is just too great. One day I will get to enjoy these toys bit for now it's like I'm "banking" them. You'll all probably think I'm mad but then I guess hifi obsessiveness is a form of madness, fun though

I'm currently enjoying a Carat I57 MKII in my system. It's an amp, CD player and tuner in one box a bit like a Linn Classik or Arcam Solo, albeit much better IMO. My hifi gets used mainly for TV duties these days but this item has had me playing CDs again for the first time in ages. Somehow it doesn't seem to have the undesirable effect on the room that other amps have. It's a really enjoyable listen and beautifully built. A pleasure to use too.

I haven't bothered to pack the Consinance CD away yet, but as the Carat has a very good CD player built in, I wil do so very soon. and here's a better pic:

Nice. I am a sucker for those wide, flat skirted knobs!

Me too. Copland and Cello products have always attracted me, in particular.
