Either gumtree or fb marketplace mike can't mind which. But it's been the same for them all - I actually picked up two pairs that day to save the drive!
I'll write about the others as I swap them round

I've been keeping an eye out for speakers recently Sir,in order to keep myself amused..I've picked up a few pairs over the last couple of months and whilst they've all been cheap by gosh they're all very good!
Created a space in the loft to keep them and as mentioned,i'm set up to swap out easily.
The Dittons are exceptional I have to say. 1 owner from new but a replaced midrange driver so not spot on. Not that I give one jot!

Unbelievable! I've had some great deals but nothing to rival that. I think it all looks alright too, doesn't look cheap or rubbish. Just been lucky I suppose.

Yeah it was the 5000 mate - a Tim ParaVicini design put together by Musical Fidelity. Like I say though,it was rubbish and a flop for them 🤣

I’m now the 2nd owner from new. 1replaced midrange driver. Huge. £30.
These sound fantastic. Love valves AND having a good few watts thrown at them! Deep deep bass. Lowest I’ve got. Beautiful to look at too!
Delighted.

Did a wee deal and ended up with a NAD C320 a pair of Tannoys and a Mordaunt Short amp today. Got them all for £20 so that was good. Bit of a hard life had been had I think so the NAD got opened up and cleaned inside. Cotton buds, contact cleaner etc etc... was a bit rough at first but after a couple of hours it’s come on song just lovely!
Got it hooked up to a pair of Ditton 33s that cost me £30 and the sound I’m enjoying just now is superb! Simply remarkable for £40.
The other amp.. well.. thought let’s do the same...opened it up and there’s burnt bits and bits cracked etc etc... Shame. Rare amp built like a tank but rubbish allegedly! Bit unstable so dangerous to speakers at times. Faffed about with it a bit but no,too much for me so away it went for £10.
Good day

I find them deep man! Deep rich bass and generally very good. Might be to do with the partnering kit. Just hope they work out for you

I picked up a pair of Ditton 33s the other day and I love them! Certainly wouldn't call them lean...

Also added a little 10mm underlay to the walls near the speakers. Not permanent but it certainly makes a difference.
