Dig out BTs album "Ima" - absolutely superb and you can feel the pressure drops in the music. Awesome. Worth finding Amorphous Androgenous too...far out...

Retro beige and orange - what more could you ask for! Where would retro be without Brown and orange?!! What WOULD the British car industry have done without those colours!!? horrible eh! Problem is the covers are brown too!

Hi Tarzan - it's an Affordable Valve Company which uses EL34 2C51 valves. It's also been Wobblechopped which makes it extra special!
Very good amp.

Think I’d need silver plated industrial strength contact cleaner...
Easy enough and low risk cleaning up inside stuff mate...cotton buds, contact cleaner and a little acetone come in handy. S/H stuff is usually a mess inside.
Made a difference here that’s for sure!

Came up in the freebies...couldn’t resist... ldf hd imagesImmaculate 1 owner Kef Coda 3s - early sp3016 version. Just a budget speaker I know but I find they tend to respond well to better amplification. These sound great!

Got this for nowt as part of a deal. Was a bit ... rough ... when I first tried it... crackly, didn’t like being touched, screechy(my Mrs springs to mind here) but I opened it up,cleaned it and gave the controls a blast with contact cleaner. Took about 2/3 lots of use but it’s come right on song now! Seems either very powerful(think it’s only 40wpc) or it seems to have a lot of headroom. It sounds excellent in a neutral way,not adding much except when you use the tone controls that are subtle but good. It carries a soft clipping feature which I expect is a bit of a gimmick but I use it anyway. Plenty inputs, easy to add a power amp, headphone socket too. Worth having if you see one cheap.

Another purchase was these rather nice Castles. Always wanted to hear Castles as they appeal immensely with the nice woodwork and refined image. These haven’t let me down. Love them. Full rich and refined. Just great. I Did quite fancy the bIgger Castles but for this room there would be no need. These are quite small and do need a bit volume but oh man...just great. Cost me £40

Just looking for hints and tips really on storing speakers. They're in the lift, which is dry,on fkoorboards ,mostly in cardboard boxes, with covers and a plastic sheet over.
Anything else I should be doing?

Just a bit of fun here...right...Speakers!
Been buying a few. I have enough. However...a pair in great condition come up for £25....a good buy.
So - what’s YOUR logic here? Mines buy them, hook them up,enjoy them, swap them round - they’re too cheap not to OR do you go for Ive plenty speakers, been there done that etc etc...
Just a giggle gents - what would you all do?

Scotland renowned for many things but I didn't know vintage hifi bargains was one of them! Have a look on Gumtree Sir and wet the search to Scotland...or shift the market on fb marketplace to Edinburgh and allow a 150 mile radius... All sorts of goodies..
