Trigger finger is a real pain in the bum, figuratively speaking. I had mine operated on years ago, and now I just get pins and needles where the incision was made every now and then. Jeanette used to cringe every time I'd grab the finger and wrench it straight.

Here's the response I got from Evri. Hmm ... < I'm sorry to hear your parcel still hasn't been located. I would advise that you contact the shipper as they will be able to discuss a potential replacement or refund with you directly. I will inform the courier's manager of this outcome. > That seems to be Evri's SOP. Not me guv, contact the poor bastard who used our service to send something to you.

Is anyone in the Bristol area expecting a parcel, or is anyone expecting a parcel from Bristol? Huge fire breaks out at Evri warehouse in BristolA huge fire has broken out at a warehouse in Bristol. The Avon Fire and Rescue Service said 16 fire engines were at the scene in Avonmouth just after 2.30 pm, going down to eight an hour later. They advised people who live and work in the area around St Andrews Road to keep windows and doors shut as they tackle the blaze. People also posted images of clouds of thick black smoke that could be seen for miles around the area, including the M5 and Blaise Castle. Parcel delivery company Evri confirmed that the fire broke out at its depot, saying all colleagues are safe and the fire has now been put out. " Our main priority has been to ensure that all colleagues are safe, the cause of the fire will be fully investigated in due course," Evri said in a statement. " There were very few parcels at the site at the time with the vast majority of outbound deliveries having left the building. " We have quickly made plans for alternative arrangements to minimise disruption to deliveries taking place over the next few days." Police were also in attendance to provide traffic management. I've been attempting more challenging things, leaning towards the abstract...

Fallout is slow going as I'm not really enjoying it as yet. After the zombie in a coffin scene, I've given up. No idea what this series is meant to be, perhaps it makes more sense as a game. I certainly hope so. I deliberately haven't read any reviews of Fallout, so I honestly don't know what others who have played the game are making of it. Personally, I feel somewhat let down as characters seem to have been invented to fit the narrative, or altered for similar reasons. The game, especially with all of its retail extensions and community-made add-ons is a massive, sprawling open world where one can roam at will, and where one can even ignore the main quest line if one is so minded. The TV series is a very narrow and linear effort. Also, a lot of the humour of the game has been lost, making a far darker story. In the game one has, after performing various tasks, the option of joining one or other of the factions, such as the Brotherhood of Steel, or not. The game, I believe, is too big for this type of storytelling, and as I mentioned previously, in the game one's first task is to escape the empty vault that one has awoken in and to arm oneself with something to kill the roaches, which are the only other inhabitants of your world. One is introduced to the darkness at the heart of the game at a much gentler pace. The TV show is way too "in your face" for me. In the game, although there are ghouls there is no "The Ghoul", there is a helpful(ish) robot (named Codsworth) discovered at your old house in the game, and who was your baby's "nanny". in the TV series the first robot we see is the one trying to carve our heroine up for spare parts. In the game, although the music was an integral part of the atmosphere it became wearing after a time so there was an option to turn off the radios it was playing on. I wish the TV series had that same option because, again, the music is "in your face," rather than creating an atmospheric background to underpin the steampunk-ish time period of the game world. One last moan, the scientist (played by Michael Emerson) who "altered" the dog, didn't exist in the game, but one could take a dog to be one's companion, and your dog would fight with you. you could even scavenge rudimentary armour for your hound. Sorry guys, as someone who played the game for a long time you've dropped a clanger here.
