Ummmmmmmmmm, are we talking push bikes here?

Ride to work is one if you are an employee of the company If you are a Director you just buy it on the company Vat - off Tax Relief on the rest I got a £1500+ bike, last season so nearly 30% off anyway, down to £1100 Less the Vat £916 ish Less the tax relief, fill in your own My accountant put me onto it when I asked about Ride to work, and he is straight BTW ! Yes I am a director and VAT registered. £1,500 doesn't seem much for a bike ? What is ride to work ? Thanks Dave (BTW any thread drift from SLIC is a good thing, isn't it ??)

Signs

It was indeed. One of the most pivotal things Arthur told me was, that when in foreign countries or even just on holiday, that you should experience it in real time, not from behind a camera viewfinder !
I worked with him later at the "Minehead Space Age Festival" in July 1992, where we had David Bowman's red helmet from "open the pod bay doors Hal". Mat Irvine who created Orac from Blake's 7. And someone who I had never heard of called Terry Pratchett who had a pile of books with him, he seemed a nice bloke

. This very sign, the original, was in the toilet of Arthur C Clarke's upstairs office in his house in Colombo when I visited him in 1991. He was chairman of the board of governors of the university and hence had the right to a flag pole and flag on the bonnet of his LWB Mercedes that was sent to my hotel to collect me !
Happy days.....................

OK, it sounded familiar ! What I suggested will make an improvement, an external PSU probably not. So for a £5 spend you win ! Dave Cheap is good, thanks Dave ... How long would doing the FC cap and pots take? I'd need to find somebody I trust to do the work for me - About an hour, maybe two if getting it apart was an issue. It's an old turntable, I don't know who would do it.......... Regards Dave

Did you ask the same question in the HiFi World magazine ?
If so I already answered that in this case no. On reflection I would put a bigger Panasonic FC capacitor on the output of the bridge rectifier and change all the pots.

. Can we move this to its own thread please ? This is " The Power Regeneration Thread " and balanced transformers are not remotely regenerators !
I thought this was all about RCD's not noise ? Can you on the new thread, in as few words as possible, maybe itemised :
a) what your question is ?
b) what you don't understand ?
c) and what apparently you disagree with me on ?
