Not too sure here - it's a Scottish folk song apparently and the bloke who wrote it,now in his 90s,is still a force to be reckoned with! A friend is looking for it and I also can find nothing.
All your help is much appreciated.
An old Jacobite song played at banquets at Dalhousie Castle is the best info I have.

Have you thought of taking a look at a book? There must be loads of them about Scottish songs and/or poetry.

Ooh hark at her! Yes,I have. I read books quite a lot. Cheers DaveC - will pass that on as I'm not sure what it is myself. Best I can find is this; www.ebay.com/itm/291180718934 Which doesn't have the actual track on it!!

No probs mate! Did seem a bit obvious though! I'm that used to people taking the piss when I say I read it's just a knee jerk reaction!
Just hope we're still pals!

Hello Mike. Welcome to TAS! Thanks for dropping by for helping Chris with his question The name implies you are related to the James Farrer in the thread title, or is it just a handy forum name?!

Hi ChrisB. Yeah James Farrer was my dad. Unfortunatley he passed away a few weeks ago and whilst digging out some of his music to play at his funeral, I decided to upload 'This is our land' to youtube as it was on of his best compositions.

Gosh, Mike I'm so sorry to hear that. As John says, thanks. It makes your post here even more special, given that you should do that at such a time.
