Please explain set direction according to curvature No, I have my own system and it depends on whether you subscribe to Russ Andrews' theory that cables acquire their direction as opposed to have it preset.

The 0.5m uGreen Cat7 'tails' are now in, between the DXE filters and router/EtherREGEN to replace their supplied patches. This makes the whole ethernet run made uniformly from whatever nylon-braided magical cable the uGreen is made from that sounds so outrageously good. Done like this, I can hear how comprehensively it outperforms the Supra in upper-mid transparency, bass tightness (and, boy, is it tight) and general openness.
There are no direction markers so I made sure to set direction according to curvature as I always do with unmarked cables.
What a great upgrade for the cost of a few biscuits!

While she's worrying over it, she's taking home £186k a year.

My last day will be 31 August. Actually, 30th as it's a Friday.
Was received very calmly as it was expected. Recruiting of my successor has commenced. Lucky bugger will get a handover, which is more than I got.

Nope! What they had was a significant personnel change: they got rid of the useless Steve Ballmer (Vista) and replaced him with Satya Nadella (hugely enlightened and saw the importance of the cloud from day one).

Had to take a moment as I have just written and submitted my resignation.
The end of my career seems very real.
Onwards and upwards.

Was going to use Meicord Opals. For significantly less, uGreen Cat7 could be beneficial perhaps? MeiCord is good, it's hard to compare directly with uGreen as I don't have equivalent lengths.

Sorry, I did reorder 0.5m uGreen Cat7.
I don't trust and have avoided flat cables. The twisted pairs are complex enough without flattening them for convenience.

Actually the last film I walked out of was Belfast I disliked it, too. I stuck with it to the end. Really wasn't worth it.

I received the 0.25m lengths of 'uGreen' only to find they're a different brand of Cat7. Amazon are playing stock games again.
I'll try them first, not much point sending them back as they cost peanuts. Irritating.
STET: I checked my order more carefully and there must have been a glitch in the matrix when I clicked on the 0.5m version. I've done it again carefully and now the brand description says uGreen so I've ordered them again.
Perhaps I'm trying to build my box of cables (which is quite substantial) to match that of Nick's?

I want to watch Beacon 23 because a) it was written by Hugh Howey (Silo) and b) Lena Headey.
Is it actually available on any UK service?

Sorry Martin, I'm afraid that your claim is false. I believe that you believe you would dislike it. Absolutely. But knowing it... now that's where it gets tricky. LOL, Robert! This is getting metaphysical. I not only believe that I wouldn't like any film with the words Kong or Godzilla in it, I can cast-iron guarantee that I actually wouldn't like it, too. And no, I'm not willing to put it to the test as there are insufficient hours left in the rest of my life

Is that 2 items from industry then Martin ? Cisco and Ugreen ? So far, Mike. I can't think of many although quite a few people like the Finisar optical products, too. Cisco-Meraki network switches and wi-fi. TP-Link straddle domestic and industry, too.

Nice find Martin, lty funny that even running FMC, that how much of a influence a patch cable can have. l'll have to checkout this Cable, l have to ask.. Any reason you opted for Cat7,when CAT 8 is available? Good question: it was a direction given by my Thai friend and an inkling that the Cat7 cables, being the first to include double-shielding (twisted pairs and overall), and high bandwidth, would be more carefully, and expensively, constructed. I also trust uGreen, been using their cables at work for a long time and they're well made. Their ethernet to USB adapters are the only ones I know that don't need drivers across the board, even for Macs. This one also looks well designed if you look at the exploded image above. Remember, the uGreen Cat7 replaced a Supra Cat8.

So being curious I located a Ugreen Cat 7 cable in my storage box and replaced a rather pricy Cat 8 cable with Telegartner ends. Now I'm scratching my head wondering how a much cheaper cable could sound so good. Wow - at both "you just happened to have a uGreen Cat7 in your storage box" and that you hear the same as Mike and me. Fun discovery, isn't it?
