Take one example song: PJ Harvey's To Bring You My Love from the album of the same name. It's always been a raw track but whereas you could be forgiven for thinking the recording is hitting the limits, that isn't the case. It's a great recording of the mic and guitar hitting the limits. The immediacy and impact of that guitar are off the scale and PJ's singing is wonderfully distorted.
The above track is like being in a practice room with someone on the guitar and the amp turned right up. It's that kind of immediacy.
Two tracks along, Working for the Man does the same thing with bass guitar.
That a set of footers can do this is remarkable.

Yep, I saw it. Nevertheless, it's a fine performance.

There's a moat in my Gustard U18 DDC, too.

Early thoughts as I suspect the new BRs will take some time to settle with weight on them, as they all do. All comparisons are against standard BR Big Pads, which are already excellent in performance.
They seem to excel on busy, dynamic, music by tightening and clarifying what's going on in the mix. The music punches and slams and doesn't get shouty even during very busy moments. I am hearing more things going on during these moments as they now seem better defined.
Heavy bass is noticeably tighter and less boomy, too, feeling extremely grunty but not loading up the room.
The effects are most obvious, as said, in busy dynamic music like Yello (Flag and Touch) where the clarifying effects in the mid/treble and the utra-tight bass are quite startling. This is the 4th level of isolation on top of RDC Big Cones supporting Solid Tech rack (1), BR Shelf (2), RDC Big Cones and Cups supporting Electric Beach S1NX shelf (3). That's some feat ('scuse the pun).
I'll keep listening with different music over the next few days.

Watch the nasty noisy SMPS that they're often supplied with, though.

All electrical breaks - known as moats - seem to be a good thing in digital audio.

The mystery package contained... The new Black Ravioli Big Pad Plus footers. All I know about them is the studs go through to at least one of the internal metal plates in the constrained layer sandwich. Now on test under my streamer. No pricing as yet. Samples courtesy of Mr Brook of MCRU.

The process of running the signal via a low phase noise clock is one of the best ways of reducing noise in the signal chain. You're right that concepts such as jitter reduction rather sidetrack the issue and serve to confuse. Its all about reducing noise going into the DAC.

I've never had to uninstall and reinstall Bubble.
I asked before but what's wrong with the tablet?

Well, my Interparcel/Fedex delivery has been twice delayed with no explanation given.
It's now due for delivery today with safe place given. We'll see.

I could barely hear the BR Eflos in action. The Quartz Acoustic boxes, however, are hugely beneficial.

BRs are so additive, if I removed all of mine (a big task) the system would be severely degraded.

I already think Prime is poor, but Ruth pays for it.
I'll be sticking with Netflix for their far superior content and lack of extra charges.

Does anyone think that we'll be seeing Jamie Dornan doing ballet? Probably not, but I'd love to know what coastline he was imprisoned at and whether it's an island.
