Cheers James... I'll be really sad to see this combination go, but its not serving its purpose sat in the spare bedroom. As was discussed here, my Young has also had the simple capacitor mod done to her too which opens up the sound stage even more

Many thanks Noddy, you are of course right and it was only a matter of time before the grammar police pulled me up on that one Sorry MartinT, my last comment here is really just for the benefit of Chris and our previous exchange (I'm trying to do my proper job at the same time). As I pointed out in the Hi-Fi Forum thread elsewhere here, I'm currently a bit of a forum nomad. This is primarily down to the fact that I'm sick and tired of the same circular arguments with regards RD/NVA on every forum I visit. The big difference between me and some here is that I don't have a thin skin and I'm able to separate the two entities. I know that RD is like Marmite, but the bottom line is that NVA kit not only sounds great, its fantastic value and as such, I will always recommend it when I feel necessary. What irks me is that the agenda monkey's who are unable to vent on the fora they live on simply choose to pollute threads here discussing the individual and not the kit. If you can't join HFS, drop RD and email and deal with him direct, but don't continually bore us with this repetitive personal nonsense ...anyway, back to lurk mode

Ahhh... yet another member of the "rent-a-rabble"... nice concise and grown up response there Chris and from somebody who clearly didn't have a grasp of how the loan scheme here was supposed to work here...

Just telling it as it is. You just keep telling us like it is from your bubble of a world Kevin.. again and again and again... If you were to read the welcome message on the HFS index page, it clearly states that "This is not an NVA forum", but it wouldn't suit your agenda if the facts got in the way of you having a free dig at RD/NVA, something of a luxury not afforded to you on the other hi-fi fora you frequent...

I'm a bit of a hifi forum nomad at present.. all I want is to ask questions and learn, to be able to speak my mind without being bullied or laughed at and to have my opinion respected, even if doesn't match fellow members opinions or conventional wisdom. Apart from the occasional blinkered and tedious comments in other threads from the usual names with well known (and well worn) history on certain products & individuals, this forum is the closest I've found to my hifi forum utopia.. and that's from somebody who ran & administered his own (albeit non hifi) forum for 17 years

Indeed Martin... if people want to judge an interconnect purely for how it looks, then that's their loss. If they also want to pay through the nose for fancy factory produced cable with added slurp, that their choice too. But as has been the case with all of the NVA cabling I've used (LS6, SSC and SSP), beauty is in the ear of the beholder.

I bought all three sets of these expertly made and super sounding MS Audio/Klotz MC5000 interconnects from brian2957 of this parish, but a thinning down of equipment needing interconnects and the addition of one of Brian's excellent new silver interconnects means these are now surplus to my requirements: below 0.5m MS Audio/Klotz MC5000 interconnect £20 below: 0.5m MS Audio/Klotz MC5000 interconnect £20 below: 0.75m MS Audio/Klotz MC5000 interconnect £25 All three prices include FREE UK mainland shipping. Ouside the UK at cost. Payment via PayPal gift or bank transfer preferred. Drop me a PM if interested and thanks for looking Cheers Pete

Hey Orbscure, How's it going. I've still got that Croft pre. It's a keeper for me, sounds lovely with my vinyl. I'm good thanks Rich.... and glad to hear that the Croft is still hitting the spot. Shame the JBL's didn't tickle your fancy, strange thing is that they are now back down in my neck of the woods and the guy who has them is over the moon with how they sound... go figure!!! Sums up this common interest of ours in a nutshell and how fickle kit can sound in one system to another...

Who are these trade members? There is no trade forum, nothing in their membership shows they are trade. Seems a mysterious clan with too much influence. Why are they allowed to hide? Other forms give them their own area and say TRADE somewhere. +1... the loan system clearly set TAS aside in a hugely positive way from the other Hi-Fi forums I frequent and for it to be withdrawn in the manner is has is very disappointing. Perhaps the descenting members would like to tell us why they are unhappy with it?
