You can't beat a good Margarita especially with spicy food such as Jambalaya

I'd like to see a limit either to the number of posts on a single thread, or maybe a time limit. It seems to me that threads that go on and on pretty easily can degenerate into slanging matches, or go miles away from the original subject.
(this applies to all the hifi fora, this one is generally well behaved..)

Waste of time, unless you're using £1000's of gas and electricity how does it help you save... For me it wasn't about saving money but saving having to fight against next doors overgrown conifers to read the meter every month or so. O.K. maybe I'm lazy..

I would love a smart meter for electrics. In fact I ordered one. Engineer turned up, tut-tut, sharp intake of breath. Apparently I can't have one because my meter box is too small..
.. and they say size doesn't matter.

The best free photo editing software I know is GIMP. The learning curve is as steep as Photoshop but it's more stable (in my experience) and it works well. Thanks Martin Almost certainly beyond me If that's too much, try my favourite, Paint.Net which has an 'image resize' function. That's kind of one step up from the Paint software that Slinger suggests, but not really difficult to learn/use and much more powerful.

I hate it when a standard contact form has no drop-down menu item for the issue you wish to raise! Message now sent to Qobuz. ...and half the time companies don't respond to contact forms anyway. Good luck.

Qobuz do have a Customer Service department so maybe that's possible..

Too many to mention on Qobuz, e.g. the actual contents of tracks not being what the track title says...

Jerry, I'll check but I thought Qobuz gives gapless when playing an album? Sadly, Qobuz has an approximately 2 second gap between tracks on my setup. I'd probably use it in preference to Spotify otherwise as I prefer it in some ways, eg. it's ability to search by recording company, its in line reviews and commentary. That's strange - I'm sure Qobuz is working gapless for me, but doesn't it depend on whatever control software you're using, rather than the source - e.g. I use the Bubble app, with my StreamX doing the rendering. p.s. I just tried running the Qobuz app on my Windows PC, played some Pink Floyd, and it's definitely working gapless as expected..

I also gave up on SKY due to the cost. Now I only use Prime for most things ...

Lateral thinking - a good approach. I once had a local glass company make me up a turntable platter - did the job well for hardly any money at all. In fact I told the glazier why I wanted it and he was happy to get such an unusual request... Did you explain what a Hifi company would be likely to charge ? No - I kept quiet about that...

Does whisky go off over time ?
I had a few opened and half-finished bottles, including my erstwhile favourite Laphroaig. These had sat on my shelf for about 20 years. I have been unable to drink any these for a while due health problems, but when I finally tasted them recently none of them seemed to be quite the same as I remember them.
This may of course be due to me not properly remembering the tastes (if one can remember a taste).

This is interesting. I'm not sure if it is correct. Probably right - it's got a huge mass, but don't forget that's squashed into an incredibly small volume!

I'm tempted to nit-pick and say that, be definition, it cannot be a picture of the actual black hole, but rather the surrounding material. but I won't, because it's such a mind-blowing feat to produce an image of anything at that distance..
I wonder why it's brighter at the bottom than the top ?

I note it's for mobiles only though..
