Are they power amps on the speakers? I wouldn't put them there! Thanks for the advice Martin but could you elaborate please?

Mainly for listening to the radio (V+ box, Sony DVD & telly are barely used)

I've asked him for some pics, he's driving Celestion Ditton 66s with it.

Anyone know someone reliable in the Kent area who can have a look at one of these beasts?
Thanks in anticipation.

Ran two in bridged mode (one of them was Jerry's) and never had a problem with hum.

Ended up in hospital last week with what turned out to be kidney stones. Had one of those little b******s last year (or in my case a big b****** - 2 cms) dealt with very efficiently by King Georges hospital, Goodmayes - good old NHS (again).

I'm looking at the Sansui wi-fi tuner - I didn't know such things existed ... Could be a useful addition next to my monster vintage Toshiba tuner. Does it do a good job? For the price (think I paid around £160?) it does everything very adequately. Apart from the wifi side of things it has DAB & FM radio as well as a USB socket you can plug a hard drive or memory stick into. There's digital out so I run it through my Caiman 2 which helps.

How do the NVAs sound in comparison with the Quads? The jury's still out to an extent Martin, they're certainly livelier but that's not always a good thing. It really depends on what's being played but the NVAs are winning for the time being. They're certainly very good amps & you really wouldn't think they were only 40 watts.

Quick update As mentioned elsewhere new amps (that have usurped the Quads for now) and new CDP
