I've never used anything bigger than 100W.

Do you mean higher rating resistors? Yeah, I usually up the wattage rating from what's required. Good idea, and bigger resistors are easier to handle.

Well, I often think of the answer to that one.
I once had a Sunbeam Tiger, a mk 1 with the 260 cu in (4261cc) Ford V8 engine so possibly a mk 2 with the bigger 289 (4781cc) would be nice.
It would be hard to discount an E-type of some sort, or even the Jensen Interceptor.
I once had a damaged TVR Griffiths (the original one with the 289 engine) but I sold it before the restoration was finished, so I am attracted to a basic, no frills V8 engined cars. This is my actual car, now a racer.
A Cobra would be nice but something a little less known like a Trident Clipper with the 289 Ford V8 engine would do me.

Good choice.
That 2.5 litre V8 (and the 4.5 litre version in the Majestic major) was designed by Edward Turner of Triumph motorcycle fame.

A thread to tell all what (pre 1970) classic car you would like to own, or have owned, or still own.

Materialistic eh ?
A modest camper van/motorhome would be nice. A Hymer based on the sprinter but with the V6 engine and auto box would do me well. There is a garage at the back for a run around motorbike.

An Aston Martin was top of my dream car list for a long time.
However, there are times when a convertible would be ever so nice, and yet still have a proper tin top when the sun went down, hence the V-12 Mercedes.
The SL500, SL55 and SL65 are each nice in their own way but I think the SL600 is more me.

I've known Greg a long time, and would take as "gospel" anything he said about the Police force and it's workings.

And to round things off, a garden railway round the grounds of my mansion on the same scale as those on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway.

Lets not forget the 2 wheel dream.
A Vincent Black Shadow. I can remember in the 60's they were quite affordable. I saw one at a bike gathering last week and very nearly had a trouser accident.

If one is talking of amazing planes it has to be the SR-71 Blackbird. I saw the last UK based one leave Mildenhall many years ago and to say it was impressive is a total understatement.

And, for occasions when two seats are not enough, a Bentley Flying Spur V-8.
Some may criticize it's more humble VW or Audi underpinning but to me it's a beast worthy of desire.

I'd prefer something that was more usable on a daily basis. Plenty of power and the ability to be drop top or tin top.
My favourite (at the moment) would be the Mercedes SL600 V-12.

I don't even know what "the store" or "one drive" are.
So am I best to stay with Windows 7 ?

I read somewhere that the warranty was for 100,000 miles, no time limit.

Quote Martin "Oops, forgot boats, of course. I used to own a Crownline 250CR powerboat ". Now, that IS "willy waving".
