I've just signed up for Amazon Prime today.
Anyone got any TV series / drama recommendations?

The Man in the High Castle should be top of your list. Vikings is great.

Another vote for Bosch. Also The Blacklist and Blindspot if you haven't already seen them.

If you can get Banshee, only GoT is better!

So I've started watching Amazon video with mixed results.
The kids shows that my son was watching earlier in the evening looked superb in HD and no problem with the streaming.
When we were watching The Grand Tour later in the evening (very dissapointing ...) it started off with awesome pic quality but the streaming got progressively worse. It never stopped playing but some sections were horribly pixelated for a number of seconds. I guess this is because there is more demand on the network later on in the evening.

I think there might be a fault with Amazon Prime because I've experienced exactly what you describe before. I find if you go out of the app and then go back in, it fixes the problem.

Wifey and I have just finished watching Tin Star, and it was excellent, Tim Roth is a really understated actor, he pulled the character off brilliantly, well worth a watch.

I've been watching Tin Star. Tim Roth is always good to watch and there is something of Banshee in the small Canadian town he is sheriff to. Very quirky direction, great music and quite compelling. I've no idea how it's going to end, having seen e7 of 10 so far.

We're watching Gåsmamnan (Mother goose). Swedish crime drama. Noomi Rapace (original dragon tattoo girl) is the main character. Mother goose. Enjoying it. Not sure it will make it to the UK with subs..

She plays 7 parts - all on screen at the same time! Just about to start Tin Star. You're setting high expectations there Martin, with comparison to Banshee...

I loved Noomi Rapace as the dragon tattoo girl, the Swedish films were so much better. She was also great in Prometheus and another film I watched recently with her as a spy.
Tin Star isn't really up to Banshee, I was just comparing the sheriff-in-a-small-town prone to getting into fights scenario.
I do miss Banshee!

That's a challenge too far!
I've often thought the cadence of spoken Swedish sounds very odd to my ears and gives away nothing of what they're talking about.
