The flaming swords are a good trick, though.
Oh, and the Night King certainly throws a handy spear!

Enjoyed The State. You can tell the characters have been based on real people and it seemed quite authentic.

The Leftovers
Aaaaaargh! A common reaction, much the same as to any Lost episode.
Only two more episodes left and nothing is yet clear.

The Handmaid's Tale is getting up there into Game of Thrones territory. Seriously creepy with a big reveal (we're four episodes behind). Unbelievably oppressive future regime. A kind of Christian theocracy like Isis called Gilead, created from the remains of the USA.
Outstanding performance by Elisabeth Moss (from Mad Men).

She's also Zoe Bartlett in The West Wing I watched The Handmaid's Tale with wifey, and we both really liked it, quite a strange, scary, and interesting series.

You beat me to it, Barry. What a superb final episode, setting things up nicely for the final series.
Whether they used condoms or not, the big reveal means they're going to regret it!

Yes a parentage revealing raven was not sent it seems. Not the only incestuous relationship Queen in town.
Jon unwittingly didn't fall in to Cersei's psychopathic trap. Self self self that woman! About time little turd finger got his comeuppance. Nice slice by the psychotic ninja short-Stark. Valarian steel doors the job.
How does a dragon get enough lift with all those holes in the wings? Ah - magic of course! That wall was rather pathetic!
Yes, final series nicely set up.

Without the Dragon how would the army of the dead had got past the wall ? If the fellowship of the ring hadn't of gone north to get a living dead specimen the Night King wouldn't have got the dragon and would have been stuck north of the wall and so........

That Jon Snow makes mistake after mistake... ...should have stuck with Ygritte. He can do no wrong with Dany just now Ned Starks fault he wasn't aware. Guess he never thought Jon would 'bump' into a fertile / attractive Targaryen! Cersei's probably thinks she can even out evil the night king. It would have been a slow climb for the living dead. They had nice chains for the dragon recovery so figure they can make nice crampons, spiked boots and have rope too. Quite civilised for the dead aren't they. Must be considerable infrastructure and manufacturing back at base. Perhaps death is not too bad after all. Wouldn't fancy a dead city brothel or medicine though Bran will just have to go back and see how the Children of the forest created the Night King, look for weaknesses, and how the first men sent him packing, dragon aside..
