If the idler wheel's in good condition, nothing I can think of.
A friend had one when I was a sixth former, I was mighty jealous back then!

Lots you could do with the Lenco Brian but if you happy with keeping it original than just a good service such as changing the grease as it likely to be pretty old

Nice, Brian, it looks like a really clean example. Is the arm OK?

Thanks guys . I had to change the v blocks which had basically turned into dust . Otherwise the arm is in very good nick Chris . I stripped the bearing and relubricated it . Then I fitted a new mains cable and new phono cables and plugs . There was a Shure M44-7 cartridge body fitted so I bought a new stylus for £12 and bob's yer mothers brother Sounds pretty good to these ears

Heard Brians deck yesterday....sounds quite a bit better than my Rega RP1. Glad it went to a good home.

There's something about idler drive, sounds closer to direct drive to my ears.

Yeh Series 2 Imp.. The badge is only placed there, its the original badge, I don't approve of Badges so its not staying.. Been fitting a new RCA Mod to the arm rid it of that original dreadful strip connector.

When I sent my 3009 Series II Improved to SME many years ago to repair the cue damper, they upgraded the pillar to phonos and swapped my cable out for me. Out of warranty, all for the princely sum of £1. Now that's service!

Trouble with the SME, RCA Upgrade it was the one they used for the later Series III', a plastic affair. These Analogue Tube Audio mods are ace quality, very well finished & only £40. www.analogtubeaudio.de/en/rca-conversion-kit/

Yes I can see that, very nice bottom plate design. Could be a problem with shallow plinths having a downward exit, though.

Very striking look, Andr'e and kinda 1970s with that colour. I remember getting back from holiday with my sister around 1971 and finding that my Dad had painted our sitting room orange!
