What's wrong with it Andre? Everything I dislike about modern 're issues. I use my present King Crimson 're-issue LP's and CD box set as reference as to how these things are suppose to be made.. if these things don't stand up to that kind of quality I'm not playing lol

Ah, agreed 100% with you there!
It's criminal - 'mastered from the original analogue tapes' is purely a euphemism for the previous catchphrase - 'digitally remastered' ...

I much prefer to have original recordings but reissues serve a purpose when the originals are so scarce such as the MAP box set

Are you saying the ERC recordings are not AAA? ( NO ) see link to video
Meant AAA does not apply to commercial vinyl only audiophile vinyl

That Genesis To Revelation box sounds rubbish - there is a thread on Hoffman detailing the poor sound and packaging.

There are some AAA gems from the major labels mixed up with the crap and 'Audiophile' labels that use digital. Also there have been a few albums cut from hi-res files that sound as good as original AAA vinyl.

The Who album catalogue as 180grm re-issues. Shame they are pressed from 24/96 but that's cool for most
Ill give
'Who Sell Out' - 'Tommy' - 'Who's Next' a go see what they are like..

The Steve Wilson Remix of Aqualung is now available as a stand alone LP (previously only in ultra expensive box set). He did a superb job with this but still prefer the Benefit Remix LP. Comes with an excellent booklet.
