Can't wait for the YES set..In my view a big mistake Prog bands made back in the early 70's was not professionally recording their gigs on a regular basis. They could have made a killing these days, especially the small venues which always sounded better than big stadium type gigs...

At least we aint getting a rehash of The 'Yessongs' Rainbow Theatre gig
"Roundabout" from 'Yessongs'was taken from that Ottowa,Ontario gig + "Yours is No Disgrace" also featured on 'Yessongs' was from the Athens ,GA set.. Be interesting to hear the quality difference Between them..

Great price, but I really mustn't buy yet another copy of Trilogy!

Kind of Blue MoFi Reissue TAS Expona I know what you’re thinking—do we need another reissue of Kind of Blue? Well, this one is getting the full MoFi treatment on 45 RPM with high-quality vinyl in a boxed set. If the test pressing is indicative, this one is likely to be the best of the bunch. On a glorious system with the new Quad ESL-2912 speakers, BAT Rex 2 electronics, Avid Pulsare II phonostage, and an Avid Acutus Reference turntable, SME 309 tonearm, and Koetsu Black cartridge, the soundstage was expansive, with far more detail than on my original Columbia recording (and I’m using original Quads!). Of course, instruments were reproduced with beautiful natural timbre, a hallmark of the Quads.

Mastered from original Atlantic Records tapes Cut from the analogue master or from a 24bit transfer of the tape? I am always suspicious when they use this type of description. If this is AAA it will sound fantastic as the original pressing is no slouch. Also how much are they charging? I've spent a fair bit on 45 rpm vinyl of late from MFSL and AP. I just checked it up on Amazon, £70.99 - they are having a laugh. MFSL and Analogue Productions 45rpm's are £45 -£50. I still can't tell if it's AAA and if it's not for that kind of dosh they are taking liberties. I expect you will be able to import from a US based Amazon seller for half that. Further information on this - it's a Friday Music release mastered by Joe Reagoso according to Music Direct - on that basis I shall be avoiding this like the plague. If Kevin Grey was involved might be different. It could well be digital and at best from US dub tapes.

That Yes double has dodgy written all over it. Friday Music mastered by Joe Reagoso! US copy tape at best and likely digitised prior to cutting at Capitol. Just received the Analogue Productions 45 rpm Tea For The Tillerman - properly done vinyl mastering.

Just received the Analogue Productions 45 rpm Tea For The Tillerman - properly done vinyl mastering. Now then, I have a special 33rpm pressing of this but I can't remember if it's Back on Black, Speakers Corner or one of the other labels. Would you regard the 45 set as worth getting? The original recording is superb, with real swell on his voice when he's "giving it some".
