Excellent job LH-44 and congratulations on a mammoth achievement.
Poor Bottas seemed a bit baffled as to how it turned out as it did....

Another excellent pole from Hamilton, and again under difficult circumstances / pressure. He always seems to thrive under pressure. Bottas has been on top of all sessions. He must think, what more can I do ? Who would want LH as a team mate? .....not me

I'd love to see either Perez or the Hulk instead of Albon, but very unlikely to happen

Not a classic race, but Hamilton once again put pressure on Bottas, who was found wanting (and then eventually had a car problem). Really good to see Ricciardo on the podium and Hulkenberg get some points. Some great driving from Gasly and Leclerc, too. There was a wonderful moment during the podium interviews where Mick Schumacher presented Hamilton with one of his father's helmets on matching his record 91 Grand Prix wins. Result 1 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 2 Max Verstappen Red Bull 4.470s 3 Daniel Ricciardo Renault 14.613s 4 Sergio Perez Racing Point 16.070s 5 Carlos Sainz McLaren 21.905s 6 Pierre Gasly AlphaTauri 22.766s 7 Charles Leclerc Ferrari 30.814s 8 Nico Hulkenberg Racing Point 32.606s 9 Romain Grosjean Haas 39.081s 10 Antonio Giovinazzi Alfa Romeo Racing 40.035s 11 Sebastian Vettel Ferrari 40.810s 12 Kimi Raikkonen Alfa Romeo Racing 41.476s 13 Kevin Magnussen Haas 49.585s 14 Nicholas Latifi Williams 54.449s 15 Daniil Kvyat2 AlphaTauri 55.588s Did not finish Lando Norris McLaren engine Alex Albon Red Bull engine Esteban Ocon Renault gearbox Valtteri Bottas Mercedes engine George Russell Williams accident What he said....

A fun interlude. If you ever, for a minute, thought that any F1 driver is 'just a bit faster' then watch Robert Kubica drive around the Nurburgring in a BMW M4. These drivers are insanely fast. Insane yes, brutally fast .....

I'm glad they removed the points and fined Mercedes - that seems fair. I also understand the 10s penalty, although it seems unfair. However, they need to stop making the rules up as they go along and applying them inconsistently. I also find Michael Masi's comments highly arrogant. Charlie Whiting had a much gentler way of putting things that maintained the respect of the drivers. True

Penalty points removed and Merc fined 25k. Maybe someone pointed out the ambiguous notes and how they read to native English speakers. Ah! Excellent ! Merc now need to wake up and stop undoing all the good work they and LH have done over the years otherwise people will start highlighting the blunders over the great things they've achieved as a team. Even Verstappen said he felt the penalty was a bit harsh

Lewis responded to one 'why' question regarding if he thought the penalty was harsh by saying they want to stop him.
As Karun Chandhok and other Sky commentators said, he's likely said that in the heat of the moment/battle, fresh from the race full of disappointment etc and that after he comes down a bit and has had the team debrief he'll probably see it different.
The truth is Merc are exceptionally good, but like all things, not perfect.
This is not the first time they've cost him a race by telling him to do something they shouldn't have.
They cost him a race win at the Italian Grand Prix when he was told to pit and again today, they should know the rules, that there are penalties associated with where you can and cant do practice starts.
Strange today that this happened. Two race wins down the pan is no joke, regardless of if you are winning plenty of races or not.
It's cost him penalties, race wins and more points on his licence (he's now close to a race ban), who's to say it wont ultimately cost him more - I sincerely hope not.
Mercedes need to protect their prize asset much better and stop this silly waste of points they are costing him.
At the end of the day LH is doing everything and more inside the car, they need to ensure they cover off their bit, outside of the car, properly.

This was one of those races of pure Hamilton domination. Not so easy with the heat and tyre management, but he didn't put a foot wrong and even changed the tyre strategy to suit his preference for the medium tyre over the soft. Verstappen once again showed that he can maximise his points. Bottas, sadly, is starting to let those errors slip into his driving that, for me, will forever deny him a championship. Impressed with Stroll in 4th, Sainz in 6th and Vettel in 7th. Result 1 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 2 Max Verstappen Red Bull 24.177s 3 Valtteri Bottas Mercedes 44.752s 4 Lance Stroll Racing Point 1 Lap 5 Sergio Perez Racing Point 1 Lap 6 Carlos Sainz McLaren 1 Lap 7 Sebastian Vettel Ferrari 1 Lap 8 Alex Albon Red Bull 1 Lap 9 Pierre Gasly AlphaTauri 1 Lap 10 Lando Norris McLaren 1 Lap 11 Daniel Ricciardo Renault 1 Lap 12 Daniil Kvyat AlphaTauri 1 Lap 13 Esteban Ocon Renault 1 Lap 14 Kimi Raikkonen Alfa Romeo Racing 1 Lap 15 Kevin Magnussen Haas 1 Lap 16 Antonio Giovinazzi Alfa Romeo Racing 1 Lap 17 George Russell Williams 1 Lap 18 Nicholas Latifi Williams 2 Laps 19 Romain Grosjean Haas 2 Laps Did not finish Charles Leclerc Ferrari lap 38 engine Yep! spot on.

Sorry Rob, I believe I've heard the 7.2 at a recent show but do not have sufficient experience with familiar music to comment. Thanks Martin. I have the original D7 and they are great so it's a curiosity thing really, ie: would be great to hear from someone who has gone from these to the revised D7.2. Either way, I will actually look to a pair at some point in the future.

Wholeheartedly agree with your comments and observations Jachawk, Martin and Clive.
I can always tell and appreciate when, genuine and proper F1 fans, who understand the sport and know what they are talking about. It's nice to see and refreshing.

It's racing pure and simple, if they all left enough space to get a lorry through then they would be criticised for not defending the line, all the Hamilton haters are baying for blood though. In my opinion it was a risky move by Albon with a 50/50 chance of success, experience is what he needs and it would have told him to sit tight and wait for a better opportunity, instead he tries to drive round the outside again and throws away a solid third place.

That weight looks nice! How heavy is it? Cheers ! 290g, 360g and 470g - My previous heavily modded Technics 1210 had the very substantial Mike New Bearing so i went 470g, the SP10 bearing and torque dont even know its there

There's a man who likes a bit of wood LOL! Nice one Rob, very pleased for you. Thanks Jules and Yep, love wood both sonically and aesthetically, applied in hi-fi - All well informed chosen pieces that fit my own personal taste and requirements in that regard I've always liked a tall rack, so plenty wood there too
