Not even Mark Lanegan's Christmas album does it for me and I'm a big fan. One of many sold at his gigs and not available elsewhere....

I'm listening to it (Low) now. Never come across them before.

It must be my requirement for absolute precision in communications, but you've lost me again. Are these groups, songs, or what?

Ah good, I listened to a good few samples of Low in Spotify and landed on I Could Live in Hope as the album to buy. Enormously expensive new, I've ordered a used copy. I love having lots of Amazon vouchers to spend

But I don't know how the hell you managed this: Not easy I'll grant you, but when you don't have a TV licence or kids and only listen to Radio 4 then not so bad. I record the 2 weekly Bob Harris shows so saw his play-lists before listening and promptly deleted both his pre-Christmas shows. In the car I only ever listen to my music and we don't do presents in my family anymore, so I have not had to trawl around the shops either - shopping is another of my 'to avoid if at all possible' tasks. I've been off work for nearly 6 months, so have not been subjected to the normal 'office' Christmas BS and Christmas day at my cousins, she didn't play any music at all. The end result is actually one of the most pleasant and stress free Christmas's I have ever had, in fact if I hadn't been to my cousins Christmas Day you wouldn't have known it was Christmas at all in my world, apart from seeing decorations outside peoples homes when out walking. Next year I don't plan to indulge in the Christmas Day BS either, as I don't really like the food - I would rather have a good curry to be honest

No not a sob story Around 6pm in the evening I realised I had my pajamas on under my tracksuit, unshaven, unwashed. I'd been having such a good time walking the dogs, (must have been warm outside), listening to music and watching TV Peace and quiet ruled M&S ready meal, the exquisite stew and dumplings they used to do. Who needs the rest of it ?
