Best: Greg Lake's I Believe in Father Christmas, a nice slice of proggy Christmas if ever there was one.
Worst: the awful thing by The Pogues with Kirsty McColl. I cannot bear to hear that drunk trying to sing.

Whilst never been the greatest Pogues fan but I like the Pogues and Kirsty McColl song. I really love Jona Lewie: Stop the cavalry

I love Mary Chapin Carpenter's Christmas album "Come Darkness Come Light". I'm laid low with a bug but the system is warming up and I'm going to take a duvet downstairs for a listen. This albium will be the first one I reach for today.

Kind of keen on the Pogues and Kirsty McColl and also John Lennons Chrimbo records. Not at all keen on Slade. Or Wham. Cannot stand that junky cottager.
In fact if anyone suggested playing those in my house they would receive a rather stiff rebuttal.

Best: The Pogues with Kirsty McColl - Fairytale of New York and The Waitresses - Christmas Rapping.
Worst: all the Cliff, Jonny Mathis etc schmaltz
As a genre I would ban it outright though! Along with xmas itself!

No such thing as a good Christmas song to my ears, I dislike the lot, but the very worst of them all is The Pogues. This year (probably for the first time ever) I have managed to avoid hearing any Christmas music, absolute bliss (and I have not seen one Christmas TV advert either . . . double bliss)

I am with you, Tim: Best Christmas song - none of 'em. Worst - all of 'em.
But I don't know how the hell you managed this:
.....but well done you!

It's virtually unavoidable. Even R4 (that paragon of sensibleness) was playing some bits of Christmas tunes one morning.

Hi Mike
You keep talking about 'Low' but give no link. What is it/them? What has it to do with Christmas?
