Out walking the dog this morning, I took a few photos of something no music lover wants to see.

I felt the same way when our school's organ was dismantled (it was beyond economic repair, having been patched so many times) and thrown in a heap outside ready for the skip. I rescued a pipe as a memento which I still have at home.

I know the feeling. Someone I know asked me to restore a player piano a couple of years ago. I started to strip it down and the whole thing fell apart. There was virtually no wood left after the beetles had been chomping. The frame is still in the barn and I have a few of the working bits up in the loft. I will probably mount them as 'art' in due course.
I suppose its the weight of the things that has seen the rise of the electronic versions. But I see those stuck in corners not being used too. Just another toy for someone. Who is going to make the music?

Sad I feel that way about lots of stuff. Can't stand throwing good or semi good stuff away I'm also a magpie and cheap skate, but you probably know that
