My son's piano teacher introduced me to this amazing resource today - the IMSLP / Petrucci Music Library.

It has a database of 290,000 original scores that are in the public domain which they have scanned and made available to download for free. You can even see an autographed Mozart manuscript!
I think it's really quite remarkable.
