Having seen the final episode of season 1, I'm uprating my appreciation of Killjoys. It has a much richer universe and deeper storylines than the shlock SF it first appears to be, a really excellent cast and more believable sets than its budget must surely allow. A fun series, and I'm looking forward to season 2. Together with Continuum and a few others, the Canadians are proving to be rather good at TV SF.

The Canadians are good a lot of TV and cinema.
I often spot US series and films are *made* in Canada, sometimes with Canadian money.
Cheaper up North maybe

Watched the end of season 2 of Daredevil and Peaky Blinders over the weekend - Both were as good as their respective first seasons, but I agree with Mike's earlier comments that Peaky Blinders was a bit too violent for its own good... will certainly watch season 3 of both though.

I'm enjoying The Tunnel series 2. From starting out as a copy of The Bridge, it has become its own show with two great leading parts.

Game of Thrones S6 remains the yardstick by which all other series are measured. Still brilliant, classy and filmic. Won't give away any of the story, but it remains the pinnacle of TV drama in my opinion.

Of all time. Just in front of Battlestar Galactica and The West Wing.
Treat yourself.

I consider an episode of GoT to be a treat also, but Green Wing would have to be in the three.
Undercover, now on episode 4, is as twisty as a very twisty thing.

Cheaper up North maybe Talking of which, there's a new series called Slasher starting on Pick soon. It's an 8 parter starring Katie McGrath (the evil Morgana in Merlin) and " follows the adventures of an orphan who returns to the town where her parents were murdered after residents start being punished for committing the seven deadly sins." It's a joint Canadian-American venture and from what I've read it sounds quite promising even if the brief description I've given here makes it sound a wee bit corny.

"Slasher" is enough to put me off. I'll give it a go.

Seconded , of all time , nothing compares , I just hope the standard is kept up as the big story is becoming lots of smaller stories and the ultimate finale seems to be getting further away.

I like that it's taking its time. No wham bang constant action and no pandering to people with feeble attention spans. It's all in the detail and the sumptuous production.

Just finished watching 'House of Lies' which is primarily about a group of Consultants which is rather close to home for me being a Business Consultant myself.
It is rather a typical American silly humour series, but actually quite good and worth a watch.

I hate the fact you have to wait for another year after only 10 episodes but of course the quality would suffer if it ran longer seasons.. Can't have cake etc. Talking of seasons , when is winter coming !!

I'm still not a fan either Mike. I'm on season 4 Ep 10 now, but finding time to watch it is difficult as friends I'm living with have seen it, so it's very disjointed with an episode here and one there, when they are out. So hard to keep the enthusiasm going.
