Watching Gangs of London. This has a extreme amount of gore and violence. It lacks depth and a touch of reality, but has plenty of moments of I did not see that coming.

I watched one episode out of curiosity John - it's gruesome stuff and rather depressing!

I've just finished "Ludwig" and I must say, I quire enjoyed it. I thought it was a bit lightweight to start with, which it was, actually, but the characters grew on me, and it's obviously set up for a second series, which I will be watching.

I've just watched the fgirst episode of adult, animated, " Twilight Of The Gods". I read loads of Norse mythology (and Greek mythology too) when I was younger, so this is right up my alley. If you like Wagner, you may remember that " Twilight of the Gods" is the translation of the German " Götterdämmerung" - the final chapter of Wagner's Ring Cycle - which is itself the translation of Norse into German of Ragnarök, so I'm expecting some crossover. I'll give this another plug. If you like your Norse mythology then this adult cartoon is well worth a watch. The voice acting is pretty good (they actually use a lot of Scandiwegian actors and actresses) and John Noble (LOTR/Fringe/Sleepy Hollow) turns up as Odin, with black British actor Paterson Joseph voicing Loki. Episodes are around the half-hour mark. Hans Zimmer provides the music. The award for the best name in the series definitely goes to the actress playing Thyra, who is Thea Sofie Loch Næss, a Norwegian.

Grand Designs Yes drama The first 3 of this current new series are well worth a watch The latest one 😂 Kevin; Here's Tony tackling a complex bespoke building project with no discernable project managing skills whatsoever At least the caravan is a garage to live in, and there's zero chance of a pregnancy 🙂 It got quite sad midway through.

speedysteve have you seen S5 of Gåsmamman? I'm frustrated I can't see it as Amazon in their wisdom have decided to put it on one of their "channels" ...

Judging by the use of their word "premiered" there is some hope that Gåsmamman may come to other channels later. Either that or it's £4.99 a month to completely indulge your thick wooly jumper fetish.

Damn, I've been waiting for Gasmamman for ages, too!
I'll break out the cable-knit when I can see it.

I've just finished "Ludwig" and I must say, I quire enjoyed it. I find it's wearing a bit thin now, after 4 episodes. I thought it was just me, but Ruth made the same comment. It is funny in moments, and I like spotting the classical tunes, but as a whole it doesn't work as well as I'd hoped.

Sometimes it's nice to watch stuff that doesn't need to be analysed. Ludwig, I watched over dinner, and it passed the time pleasantly. Whether I would ever consider setting time aside solely to watch it is another matter though.

We don't often watch TV together, but we enjoy it when it's something we can both watch. For that alone, I will continue watching Ludwig to the end.

Just finished the first season of 1923 which is a prequel to Yellowstone.
Slow start and tends to jump around the different story lines too much for me and spend too long on boring stuff.
It is however pretty brutal at times and I'll be honest it makes me hate Religion even more than before.
We Britons and other Europeans really were evil in regards to the natives. Ok I know it's fiction but I'm sure it's reasonably/maybe accurate in it's portrayal of how they were treated.
Unfortunately season 2 has been delayed by the writers strike so it's not out until 2025.

I found out tonight that series 2 of the excellent "The Devil's Hour" has started on Prime, so that's taken over from Ludwig for my dinner-time watch, and the two series coulln't be more different if they tried. Peter Capaldi is spooky AF. p.s. Don't try to watch s2 without seeing s1 first.
