Severance S1 - what a storming final episode to season 1. It's a very quirky, wonderfully imagined and well executed world which you have to hope could never achieve reality.
Is anyone else watching it?

Dark Winds is definitely a recommendation. The main cast is uniformly excellent, and the scenery is breathtaking. The music's pretty good, too.

Not drama as such, but the very final episode of The Grand Tour.
The drama was in the absolutely gobsmacking country that is Zimbabwe. I've toured Namibia and that had my jaw dropping at various points, none more so than the section of the Namib desert known as the Mountains of the Moon.
But Zimbabwe... goodness me, that's an extraordinary looking place and this episode makes me want to go there and drive. A lot. The very last show of Clarkson, Hammond and May was touching, too.
EDIT: I have actually flown over the Victoria Falls. Staggering.

LOL, not on that occasion but I did take the Orient Express once a long time ago (although not as far as Istanbul). We were in a top floor room that was baking hot during the days so we sought solace in the well stocked and highly agreeable ground floor bar. A long time and another life ago. |
