I've just watched "Delia Derbyshire: The Myths and the Legendary Tapes" on iPlayer, and I highly recommend it. I was surprised to find out it was originally a short film written and directed by the actress Caroline Catz, and it is she who has extended it to feature length. It's a " docu-drama" with Catz herself in the lead role ably assisted by some decent actors and " real" talking heads from her past. The soundtrack to the film itself was created by Cosey Fanni Tutti manipulating some of Derbyshire's rediscovered tapes. I knew a fair bit about her, in fact I watched a documentary not long ago on YouTube which I recommended here, but I learned a lot too. It was interesting, informative, a lot of fun in places, and rather well done overall, I thought. It ends with the imaginary voice of Derbyshire dismantling her own obituary, point by point. It's on iPlayer for the best part of a year, so no excuses. I've just assumed everyone knows who she was? In case you don't know, she's the woman who revolutionised - more or less invented, in fact - British electronic music in the (very) early sixties, and who realised Ron Grainer's therme for Doctor Who.

Seconded A good watch. Thought it was you that pointed me to it The one that was on BBC4 last night? I might have done, my head is not exactly in the game at the moment, as they say. Well, probably somebody says it, I'm almost certain.

You really shouldn't have had that 3rd COVID jab.

Anywho... "Delia Derbyshire: The Myths and the Legendary Tapes" on iPlayer is very much worth watching if you're curious about the origins of electronic music, or even if you're not. It's one of those very few "saving graces," that the BBC seems to have these days.

I saw that listed, but didn't watch it. I will go back and do so. Thanks for the prompt, Paul

I've been watching "Extant," which I missed first time around. I think there are about six episodes to go (it's on every week-night) and has been a decent way of passing 40-45 minutes. Recording it so I can FF the adverts makes it (and anything else) far more palatable. Of course, the fact that it features Halle Berry, one of the most gorgeous women on the planet as far as I'm concerned, doesn't hurt either. I'm also having a second stab at The Expanse. I think I was in the wrong head space the last time I tried it; I was getting distracted far too easily, which led to me getting bored with it. Like Extant with my lunch, I watch an episode of The Expanse per day with my dinner in the evenings. Series 2 starts tonight.

I saw Extant and it was quite entertaining.
The Expanse is simply epic and keeps getting better.

I found myself watching Banshee again. Still utterly brilliant with the lead roles played superbly by Antony Starr and Ivana Milicevic, the latter quite mesmerising.
Banshee is the name of the town. It's not about banshees.
Definitely in my top 5 TV drama ever.

While watching the still fantastic Banshee again, I decided to give the new Icelandic series Katla on Netflix a go.
Spooky goings-on around a volcano that's threatening a small village in Iceland. Dark and moody, beautifully photographed.

I have to say that I'm really pleased I had a " second go" at The Expanse. I've just started series 4, and I spotted Burn Gorman (Owen from Torchwood) on the transport ship. He often plays a bit of a sketchy bugger, so I'm guessing I know who this season's villain is already. I see Bosch, series 7, is a freebie on Prime. That's my next watch sorted. If that sounds like fun to you, then give Haven a go, also on Prime. I watched it a couple of years ago, and it's quite entertaining. It's (very) loosely based on Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid." William Shatner turns up in the final series.

I decided to give the new Icelandic series Katla on Netflix a go. Wow, I have to say this series has been brilliantly spooky and unsettling so far. I've reached E6 and there is no let-up in its intensity and no sign of quite where it's going next.

That's it, I'm fed up now, I've finished The Expanse and it's crying out for another series or four.
Oh well, on to the final season of Bosch.

The Expanse done, and I've just watched the final episode of the final series of Bosch. The search for a new series on Amazon Prime begins.
[EDIT] I shall be giving East West 101 a go as from tomorrow. We'll see whether it sticks or not.
East West 101 was set around the Major Crime Squad in metropolitan Sydney. It was based upon the experiences of actual detectives in a crime unit in Sydney's western suburbs. It was filmed on location, in Sydney suburbs such as Auburn, Bankstown, Redfern, Chinatown and Maroubra.
"East West 101" centers on Zane Malik - a brilliant detective whose ability to connect with people helps him solve crimes. Ambitious and driven, he has confidence, strength and intelligence. Malik is an Arab and proud of it, but as a Muslim detective in a post-9/11 world where just to be an Arab is to arouse suspicion and fear, Malik feels under pressure to prove himself over and over.
It aired between 2008 and 2011
