So you thought you listened to some oddly named bands? Check the link below. Apologies for some of the four-letter-wordage and general bad taste contained within. Just a bit of fun, and exactly what the title says - The Canonical List of Weird Band Names

It hasn't got Six Organs of Admittance. Damn, thought I might have a weird one, there.
I've heard of Scraping Foetus..., does that count?

I was very gratified to see that Crispy Ambulance received proper recognition!

Ah yes, I remember laughing at their name, together with Prefab Sprout.

Nah but may make the top ten! "Protest Songs" is better IMHO
For what it's worth I'd say my top three (in no order and likely to random change!) are Prefab Sprout "Swoon", Van Morrison "Astral Weeks" and Frank Sinatra with Count Basie "Sinatra at the Sands" which IMHO is the best live album ever! Also I believe a very young Quincy Jones first job, as musical director IIRC

I would counter with Prefab Sprout Steve McQueen, Van Morrison Moondance but we can agree over Sinatra at the Sands

Yes, I have an old vinyl copy too. Not sure if it's mono or stereo but I do know it's one of those side 1/side 3, side 2/side 4 jobs, made for stacking on autochangers.

Mine's more recent, Mobile Fidelity I think. It sounds particularly good with an Ortofon SPU.

I'm not really a Sinatra fan but I'm still looking forward to listening to it when it arrives.
