I wish we would, too. I like bright evenings and couldn't give a damn about the mornings. This clock changing drives me mad!

Took me by surprise today. Auto correcting clock said 6am when I was sure it was around 7
Hope it will be gentler on me than normal. Usually takes weeks for my body to understand what is going on

I don't find it a problem changing but prefer lighter evenings.
However, the studies done in the 60's into this and safety were by today's standards very poor. Schools start even earlier these days so the daylight for the school kids to walk to school doesn't really happen - plus not many of them walk any more. Chelsea tractors see to rule!

Exactly, it doesn't help schools at all. But going home in the dark is fairly depressing for months on end.

It is done because we have always done it, well for a few years now, more details than you might want en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Summer_TimeI remember the argument about Scottish farmers needing it. Farmers work the hours they need to regardless of the clock Costs the country money to do it both ways and just grief for me
