I know some people say speaker cables should be quite chunky but these must surely rate as the fattest ones ever. |

I can see the problem here.
Speakers posts would be too close together.

The cable would be thicker than my speaker baffles, my speakers alone are 0.6m wide!

Even better point, as my listening room is 6m long but only 3.2m wide.

I suppose if you have a really small room you could probably get a 0.5 centimetre pair and just use 'em sideways on!
