Emily announced this yesterday via Facebook and Twitter, saying that her tour with the Red Clay Halo starting next month will be their last work together for the foreseeable future, I suspect that might be it for sometime, but never say never? I know there are a few fans of Emily here, so if you fancy seeing her and the RCH, best grab a ticket. I personally think Emily is maybe doing what Steven Wilson did with Porcupine Tree and trying something new, beyond the constraints of an established band. She is the creative force behind the RCH, being it's voice and lead songwriter. Emily has been to Nashville for the last two years around the time of the AMA Festival and by all accounts gone down very well. Could we see a project coming from there perhaps, as Americana/alt. folk/country is probably how you would class her musical style . . . so who knows?

I was doing Portsmouth Chris, but double booked for The Delines, so doing Stroud now . . . if you get a chance to chat and grab an autograph post show (take your 10" vinyl?), tell her that 'Tim, not Andy says hello' - has to be exactly those words and I bet she laughs

So Tim, what are the stakes in this bet?

Just as an update too, regarding that tour date list in the OP - Penzance (23.11) has been cancelled, so the Stroud show may well be the last time they perform together for some time, maybe permanent but hopefully not?

It was a great gig but, sadly I wasn't able to pass on your message Tim. No worries, it would have been funny - glad you enjoyed the gig. I think she's a great singer/songwriter and I'm interested to know what she has planned next. She's been to Nashville twice to play in the last 2 years and Beth Nielsen Chapman got her up in the Bluebird Cafe to play too, twas on the hoof and unexpected but she pulled it off I thought. Seeds being sown maybe?
