There's a few lookup sites like this, and they're all useful.
For myself I've got to the point where I reject all calls now unless they're in my contacts list, or I know they're from someone bona-fide.

I'm fortunate to have calls screened at work
I usually ignore the phone completely at home

I need calls totally screened at work, otherwise I would not get a shred of work done during the day. Astonishing the tricks that salesmen use to try to get through, including "he's expecting my call", "yes, we're one of your suppliers" and "oh yes, he's a friend". The receptionist and I often laugh about their latest attempts. Put them through to my voicemail and very few leave a message, proving that they're mostly time wasters.

Classic for us is
"I'm from Xerox"
When they are dealers or even competitors
Then there are your lot and the
I'm calling him back
He asked me to call him
There are good telesales guys but they are in a tiny minority
