Great stuff, Steve. We will really need to see and hear your new setup once you've moved

Well after lots of listening, this new upper channel config has certainly focused the stereo image. Sound stage is also very pleasant.
I get it all refined to this advanced level, better than ever and then will have to take it apart and rebuild it in the new place! That's been delayed further by a week but the acquisition is still all going ahead. Don't tell Marie but prio number one will be the sound system - hahaha!

Don't tell Marie but prio number one will be the sound system - hahaha! It's the only thing I ever-so-carefully packed into their original boxes the last time I moved. Yes, I've even kept the ones for the Ushers!

Yeah, needs must:) I've added the picture here, as it's disappeared from Barrington's post advice Was told the doors were wide enough. So they were to the main building but I was allocated a room in the modern block part with 75cm doors! No one would swap rooms with me! It was either make them fit or flounce off home. The latter is not my style. Made no difference to the sound with the section Blutak'd in place;) I'm not particularly precious with these things, they are made to serve a purpose. And serve they did. The conicals now reside with a horn enthusiast Wammer in his front room:) Without the removable section feature (clips to secure in place), they'd not fit into his room.

Hurrah, we are escaping to the countryside!
Moving at last!
Rural views but 4mins walk to a well serviced village.
The horn system is all in pieces and packed for removals tomorrow. It's one of my priorities to get it up and running again 'tout de suite'. I wonder how it will sound in the new room?

Hehe. It's only a hobby:) Well the removals guys did a great job. The mid bass horns were a struggle up to the music loft but they did it. Two of them were real strongmen! "Six foot four and full of muscles" The rest was easy enough. The tapped horns would not fit... Not enough height to allow them to swing in from the landing and under the door frame. No worries though, I shall either cut the ones I have in half and rebuild as a half height double depth version and assemble up there, or cut out a new pair and build up there;) Watch this space.

There's dedication to your crsft. Are you going to build a big boat in your loft too, Steve?!!

Boat, no! Got a workshop for that;)
This is a loft room over the garage / workshop.
Larger than my previous room in some aspects but will require some customisation of kit, but we'll get there.

Do you mean everything has to go through the trap door? I'd like to see anyone get my speakers through...
