It's been since June 2023 when I last listened to my system with the Goldnotes A3 I been quite worried about how it would all sound.... It took about a 1.5 hours to setup, as I had to reposition the system and some of the furniture. The last time I had listened to the system my mother was in hospital and was waiting to move to a care home. Music was my sanctuary during those times. Suddenly whilst listening to Dream Theater the emotions from that time came flooding back. It felt quite overwhelming. Well how does it all sound. Comparison to my headphones system is pointless. Whilst the electrostatics give you an immersive experience, it's just not the same as listening to good speakers. I just feel so much more emotionally connected to the music. I don't remember this much body and punch. The system likes to rock, but it can handle acoustic guitar and tabla well. Plenty of texture when needed. Overall feelings of finally coming home and of relief are now present

Lovely that you are able to play music through speakers again . IF you want to get close to the Stax sound then a pair of electrostatic speakers is the way to go .

To be honest I prefer the Evo A3 as has the speed of the Stax but has more body and slam. The speakers are little gems

At present the biggest challenge is getting the streaming to as close as I can to the internal files on the Aurender. The difference at this stage is massive.
The A15 has a built in FOC and I am using the choke method. I plan to use a TP link as a air gap as Eric recommends this and my I know a few people that get good results via this method.
If this doesn't work a network switch and clock. At present no idea what would be worth a try. I don't want to go to ott with the boxes and cables. I just don't have the room to make that work
I have come across another solution that is not cheap but keeps the box count and cable count low.The Muon pro ethernet filter that has some good reviews. Hopefully it will not come to that.

Do you know if the local files sounds even better if you physically unplug the ethernet cable also? Curious to understand if that ethernet sourced noise pollute the DAC, even if only plugged in. In my mind, it should.

The A15 has 2 Hard drives built in, plus memory ram to isolate even further, so it is not relient on the ethernet. For me its a bench mark to aim for.

John, if you want proper air gapping and the possibility of using an external clock later, you won't beat an EtherREGEN. No other switch does what it does.

However, I want to get the streaming at a similar level

I have mostly sorted the ethernet issues. I have placed the router away from other devices and a big improvement. Feels like a major upgrade for zero outgoings. I will add another ethernet choke cable just to see if that helps further
