I have over 4500 CD,s all of which over time were ripped using dbPoweramp and my trusty Iomega CD-RW . Early on there was quite a number of CD,s that were not in Accuraterip which checks against other rips of the same CD and advises if your rip is an identical digital file . I have quite a wide taste in music including South American , Indian , Cuban , African and other areas that are not mainstream . over the years finding a CD that is not identified has become less and less and the last one was probably at least a year ago .
So was listening to the Huey Show on BBC 6 Music yesterday morning and heard this track and liked it so had a quick search on Amazon found the CD and given the price new bought it
Arrived today and have just ripped it . To my surprise it is not in Accuraterip and so has taken a while as the software does multiple passes before declaring it as a secure rip . Really surprised that any cd issued within the last twenty years is not already added but just goes to show .

I regularly have music not in a database either in Accuraterip or any of the catalogue databases to fill in the track listing info, so I have to do it manually . . . I'm not sure what that says about my taste in music!!! That's about how many CDs I have ripped as well, I have so many backups you wouldn't believe it, as I'm never doing that lot again
EDIT: Actually, having just thought about it, I buy music that has just been released so it's probably because of that, just new so not in the database yet. Also, with CD sales dropping so much, I would guess it takes longer these days for some music to be added as people are streaming more than ripping.

I sometimes find Last.fm shows no album cover or details of something I'm playing (recently, Delooze, Rachel Croft and the new Rebecca Pidgeon album), but it always at least records the name.

I often have to add cover art to Last.fm - most of the time it's more to do with the album title names, rather than it not knowing the music. If I've named it differently to how it's on a streaming service, like omitting 'Remaster' or something, Last.fm doesn't recognise it cover art wise, but as you say, it always records the name.

Thanks, Tim, I didn't know about contributing artwork. I've just uploaded 4 from recent plays that were missing.
