Has anyone here had experience with different IEC and Plugs for mains connectors?
I currently have some Iego 8085 (gold over furukawa copper) and a Furutech FI28. They sound quite different. The former seems to have a colourful uplift in upper midrange, the latter a darker tilt but with a lower noise floor (possibly because of the alpha cryo and field dampening system).
Not sure which is more "correct" though?
Lots of people seems to say Furutechs iecs are they best but some say iego is better.
I've read good things about the Iego pure silver but they have rhodium plating which I'm sure I read somewhere has a strange effect on mains sound quality?
I also am interested in the MS HD Power blue which has a improved conductivity cryo process. Anyone tried these?
Anyone have experience with any of these or a preferred brand of connector after testing?
My mains cables are Studio Connections Black Star in a solid state digital system with Harbeth 30.1s.
