Watch the clip to hear the story of how much of a disaster - it should have been. Took me by surprise and hear what our Keith manages through all that open.qobuz.com/album/0060254707654Listening to it on Q is a different experience to a few years back when I played it on CD

A truly outstanding performance Mike - I play this more than any other of my jazz records and it ranks amongst my favourite albums of all time

Very well explained. The great thing about Jarrett's improvisations is that they sound wonderful, progressing and hanging together even when he's deliberately jarring with dissonances. In this respect, he gets more of my attention than some classical composers who just created unpleasant music, albeit technically difficult.

Even before Beato said it, I thought "that's Bach"!
