This is one of those rare tracks that just devastates me though in an unhurtful way.
It's also one of the tracks that in my lifetime I've seen slip through the cracks of reality and go unnoticed by all of humanity, seemingly. I know this last claim can't be real because there are a ton of movie clips set to this song by YouTube users. But outside of YouTube I've never heard this track discussed or even mentioned. It's one of the most beautiful things I've heard.

Absolutely, Mike. I've been a beyond avid music listener all of my life and yet only in the last 7 or 8 years my music listening/discovery has gone much further, all because of streaming.

Fair enough, Martin. I'm shocked to hear this but like others have stated...somehow we all hear it differently.
I literally ponder this idea. What I've come up with is that each piece of music is like an airplane runway.
Each set of ears is like all of the planes flying in at different angles.
This analogy might need to be workshopped a bit.

We've talked about Lana Del Rey before and how almost all members of this forum dislike her (you excepted). I love her voice, her downbeat small-vignette story-songs and the sheer down-tempo vibe of much of her music. I see little resemblance between her and other female stars who mostly pump out teen-friendly dreck. I cannot understand why others don't hear her music as I do, but clearly they don't.
C'est la vie.
