Dust is a problem for me. Gets worse Feel free to add your tips in First is the less obvious Headlight TorchWhich shows in horrific detail where the dust is, even in good daylight Thanks to Robert for this wonderful tool rfan8312Visibility is useful so wearing your glasses will help. Perhaps a cheap pair from Ebay to add to your normal ones or a low magnification if you don't usually wear glasses

Speaking as someone who lives near a sand quarry, and whose late wife needed all the help breathing she could get, why not consider something like this - www.amazon.co.uk/Purifiers-FRESHDEW-Bedroom-Cleaner-Allergies/dp/B0CVZXV5Q9?th=1 and attempt to defeat a large proportion of the dust grot, and general crap at source, so to speak. Unfortunately I can't recommend a brand as the three we bought (von Haus) are no longer manufactured. von Haus do still make them, but they've gone a bit "high end" with their pricing it seems. Even if they do no apparent good, check the filter after a month or so and see what they've actually captured. We were quite surprised.

I think having Dogs makes things much worse Mike. That’s my excuse anyway 😃 My system is due a complete disassembly and dusting. I use a little air blower for computers to clean inside amps or anything with vents and catch the dust blown with the hoover.

Glad to say we are in a country spot. Moved from the last but one place as a country road became a cut through for the then newly opened M25. The noise became bad at rush hour times, the pollution can't have been good either Answering Slinger directly there is a Mountain Breeze Ioniser which has a fan and a big filter, (time to take out and clean !) Another filter could be a good idea too ... My sense of smell is very poor, advantages and disadvantages ! mattspl the dogs do create quite a lot of detritus. The latest three Dachs/Pappilon seem to create more hair than I have ever seen from dogs before

Cloths Conventional duster or microfibre I went with microfibre years ago. They seem to work best but I will have a try with a conventional duster just to see as I'm in investigative mode Also have these which are perfect to go under kit

Microfibre cloths for me (I buy big packs for the car).
I also have an artificial feather duster that is great for between components and shelves.

Black Ravioli have a side benefit
Raising the kit high enough to put a radiator duster (pic above) under The bigger RDC cones do the same
Creaktiv racks are high enough off the ground to vacuum underneath. Huge amounts gather under racks
Mana racks not high enough off the ground to vacuum under so I'm looking to raise. Maybe RDC cones, cups and bases will give enough height
