Hi there,
I have one Paul Hynes PSU (SR7 EHD-MR4) that is now surplus to my requirements, so time to let someone else enjoy what it can do. This unit was significant in me really understanding what a well sorted music server was capable of and elevated my system several rungs up the ladder, truly a delightful addition to your system; it worked excellently well alongside components with a new worth of 100k GBP.
Key details:
*price & logistics: 2,400 GBP - you must cover shipping, although I'd much rather you come to collect it (I'm in West Sussex). If you do want it shipped, I'll use the original (and fit for purpose, it got from the UK to Australia by air in working order) packaging.
*Owner: One owner - me; this was a custom built job for me by Paul.
*Function: It has recently been to our very own Tony of Coherent, where it was tested and given a bill of clean health (and hasn't been used since).
*Packaging: what Paul originally used - a quality, double walled box with polystyrene chips.
Features:
*Rails: four (see picture) which makes it excellent as a PSU for your music server (which is how I used it).
*Power leads: all captive, all upgraded (at considerable cost) to soft annealed, braided, high purity silver;
*Powering the unit: - this lead is also upgraded to the 13A version, and fitted with a Furutech FI E38G Schuko plug, another upgrade worth 130GBP now.
*Power it provides: each one is at least one meter long.
There is also an upgraded fuse in there, I can't recall if it's an SR blue or hi-tuning, either way, a nice uplift and something I'll leave in there at no extra charge.
Upgraded mains plug
Currently attached connections, I used these to power the upgraded USB output card, internal ATX PSU, and two SSD drives (one for OS, one for library).
What each rail provides; please note that the PSU can be switched to 120V also if required.

Paul Hynes SR4 – The World’s Best Audiophile Power Supply - yes not this PSU, but love the headline and it's important to note the model I'm selling is several steps above what this person is calling the best in the world ;-)
