This is a long, gentle song with an almost ethereal vocal performance and absolutely outstanding acoustic guitar. Yes, it's going to appeal mostly to those who hear the beauty in female voice. She sings seemingly without effort, and yet packs a huge emotional punch. For those who listen to lyrics, they match the song perfectly. Me, I just listen to the sound it makes, an absolute aural feast. open.qobuz.com/track/4554161It feeds my longing To play for you It feeds the sorrow In it too It re-colours the marks and There's so many of you It re-colours The love too It all could be just about you It all could be just about you It sounds all alarms To enter this room It sounds the alarm In my heart to It reduces my hours Separated from you It reduces Happiness to Some days are all about you Some days are all about you It reveals my devotion For everything blue It reveals my devotion For you too It anchors my position To admit this mood It anchors Your roots deeper too When all is about you When all is about you It weakens my defense To hold it this close It weakens other senses too It feeds my longing Give me a feeling And days are all about you Days are all about you

Struggling with the vocals but the guitar sounds incredible on my car stereo with the tweaks and enhancements made using EQ presets.

This will be one of the tracks I get to have spinning, with my system up again...

Try also My Soul Remembers, the final track. The acoustic guitar solo forming the 2nd half of the track is simply amazing and will demonstrate (or not) your system's midrange resolution and dynamics. open.qobuz.com/track/4554168

It’s good to see Sophie Zelmani referenced. I lost track of her after 1995 so I’ll now listen to her later music. I still have her CD single You and Him, it’s a high energy track which is great fun. open.qobuz.com/track/5042623The track is from her first (eponymous) album.

Another good song, with better microphone treatment than in the Soul album is This Prison from My Song. Her voice does come across as tending towards sibilance and I don't think the recording engineers have always made sympathetic microphone selections. open.qobuz.com/track/38974445
