It's very easy to forget just how good these guys are. It looks mad on tv and tv doesn't get anywhere near to doing it justice. I watched the World Cup at Fort William last year - a few of the same guys are competing - and they're getting up to 65mph down that track. The skill levels and baws needed are just through the roof.

Maybe once upon a time I would have had a go myself, well maybe some of the gentler stuff. Now I've got too many damaged and broken bits <watches clips> Change of mind I wasn't that mad or talented

Look for an uplift day somewhere. They run them at Innerleithen - costs £32 and you get about 8 runs down. Might be one closer to you - I don't know. Also at Glencoe and Ft William there's lift assisted riding. Costs about the same. If you ever fancy it let me know and I can easy sort it out. I don't want to hear any "too old" nonsense either - I can tailor a day or two to suit you no problem at all.

Very painful, but the almost constant nagging pain has gone. I'm a lot more careful now, even though that one was me as innocent passerby, lit up like Blackpool in season, but he "didn't see me " Slid on polished concrete about a year ago, wet tyres. That too was painful going down hard and fast on the right hip. This could be me chickening out....

Well it's up to you sir. Consider it a standing offer and I've body armour you can borrow!
Scotland has the best riding in Britain and there's so many options it's unreal. As,I say it's a standing offer and if you do want to then DO noise me up - don't feel awkward or anything like that. I've ridden all over Scotland and enjoy showing folk around.
