Hello All, For a bit of fun I thought I would post a little HiFi competition for Christmas, just for your entertainment! Below is a picture of some interesting loud speaker cables, so the question is who made them and what are they called. There is one person I know on TAS who is aware of them so no cheating please.

Don't recognise them, sorry.

I'd call them 'shorts' - due to their length.

I assumed they're jumpers.

I recognise them. They're the "Fat Bstard" Cables. Thicker gauge = better sound quality of course.

I assumed they're jumpers. If jumpers they would be for some humungous loudspeakers as they are 2m in length

Ah, I see, 2m makes them somewhat fat!

Ah, I see, 2m makes them somewhat fat! They are about 50mm in diameter, the cable ends in the photo are about 5mm. They are pretty well made overall.

That is pretty much what my TNT UBYTE 2 cross connected coax leads would look like if padded & covered.

As Christmas is over I thought I ought to let you know what these weirdoes are, I am reliably informed they are a pair NVA Speaker Sound pipes, I believe only one or two pairs were made. They are made of multi core solid wires, I was told all military grade and selected to get the best across all frequencies, the work very well and are pretty neutral IMO. I ended up with them some years ago when I purchased a NVA pre and power amp in a Milton Keynes Audio shop for silly money and these came with them.
