I'm going to soldering a pair of phono chassis sockets. Is there any particular solder i should use? Thanks

You must use multicore solder designed for electronics which has flux in it. Do not use solder designed for plumbing or other uses.
If you want the best, use solder with some silver content.

Just a quick tip, although it's not break-the-bank expensive, consider how much you're actually going to use before you buy a reel big enough to solder two hundred sockets. There are some examples here from a well-known hi-fi retailer.

The silver solder I have used in the past seemed to have a higher melting point than ordinary stuff. As such, it may not be the best thing for someone with little experience. I am assuming that is the case here, apologies if I am mistaken.
