Listening to all the KC albums I have on CD and supplementing with Qobuz where I don't
My musical tastes seem to have moved on since the albums were released
My impressions follow !
There may be heresy

In the court of the Crimson King
Stunning when it first came out. A favourite of mine for years. The LP was played many times
Adding the CD to my collection in the 2000s and playing I was disappointed. Not the album my younger self raved over. Greg Lake's vocals a weak spot for me
An album ahead of its time in 1969. Not so much of a favourite now. Hmm

In the wake of Poseidon
A album I liked, LP played many times, but not as much as In the court.
Weaker.
I rate it even lower now, maybe as low as 5/10
Hmm again

In the Court does sound rough to my ears these days, but the music is inspired. There's nothing else quite like it.
Greg Lake had one of the best male singing voices I know. Try Lucky Man.

Gregg had a good voice for sure. Lucky Man is good
In the court in 1969 was staggering. 2023, for me much less, which I am trying to comprehend

Lizard
Always taken by Jon Anderson on vocals half way through the album The whole album grew on me over the years, so much that I invested in the 40 (!) year anniversary version with extra tracks Remixed by Steven Wilson
Love it Into the album playlist

I've never properly listened to Lizard. Thanks, Mike, most enjoyable.

Perhaps they would sound better on the original vinyl?

Could well sound different. Think it is the music that I've gone off though Reminds me to look at connecting the record deck/phono pre/psu

Islands
Another album I have the 40th Anniversary edition of with Steve Wilson redoing
Very nice indeed and added to the album playlist
As with Lizard the extra tracks are well worth having
Makes me think of the style of In the court but better

Still like King Crimson and HD version of In The Court of the Crimson King is really good considering when it was recorded . My fave KC album by a huge margin is Larks Toungue in Aspic musical colouring of the highest quality great vocals and dense riffing a plenty .
