Tried with a couple of safe artists but this one is a little bit on the edge for most . In advance I make it clear that I am of Celtic origin probably more Irish than Scotish . However this is an album of Puirt a Buel which is the Gael language for a song and in literal translation means Mouth Music . This is one certain group of people's take on traditional Gael songs with modern arrangements but don't in the Gael . This is a wonderful album of music that in my view seems to come from different planet . The vocal is wonderful with a harmony and purity not found in many places Salif Keita singing is the closest I have found .Mouth Music went on to create different and varied albums but nothing like this again . I find this music echoes with my heart and mind and feels like it has always been there in a timeless way . It stirs memories within that are not mine but feel like they should be . Give it a listen and see if it moves you , if not then move on and find your own ancestral sound .

Sorry Martin I have issues in being able to provide links using a tablet . Search Amazon for Mouth Music by Mouth Music and the album will come up . I love the other Mouth Music albums but they are quite different . I also like the album's by Talitha MacKenzie who is the singer on this album they are more in line musically with this album .
