I would like to introduce you to the most excellent SEVEN)SUNS.
"Dystopian music rooted in the language of avant-metal and hardcore played by a string quartet.
Earl Maneein, violin, Adda Kridler, violin, Fung Chern Hwei, viola, Jennifer DeVore, cello."
www.sevensunsmusic.com/
These guys absolutely rock! Very technical too. Love the energy, I really hope they do a London show.
Here's an introduction to their work and the last album.
Their latest project is a reimagining of The Dillinger Escape Plan's entire "One of Us Is the Killer" album.
The single is out now.

Reminds me just a little of the soundtrack for Under the Skin, a rather excellent cult SF film starring Scarlett Johansson.

Not something I'd listen to for pleasure ...or any other reason.

I like their lower energy music. I realise that this largely negates the purpose and intent of what they do.

I'm glad you got something out of it Jerry, I think they're an interesting outfit.

You like loud rock though J, but this is too much for you?

You like loud rock though J, but this is too much for you? Very true. I love loud rock and metal. But I just find the first mentioned Seven(Suns album annoyingly and pointlessly frenetic. I'll try the new album.
