Hello Chris. Well today I finally was able to bring the Mirage M3-si's home , did a Quick temporary set up to hear them, well it was love at first testing. just thrilled. I intend to remove the bridge at the speaker terminal's and bi wire them. I assume bi amping, the amps would have to be identical . Chris how many ohms should they operate at?

Hi! Great that you like them. They are pretty special, aren't they? For bi-amping, there are a few ways to do it. What you need as a minimum is two amps with identical voltage gain rather than being totally identical through and through. That's how I do it. I use a higher powered stereo amp to drive the bass end and a lower powered one to drive the middle and treble frequencies. This is sometimes called horizontal bi-amping. You can do horizontal bi-amping with identical amps too, or you can do vertical bi-amping where each identical amp is dedicated to its own speaker. In this case, what we will call 'Amp A' drives the left speaker, with its (for example) left channel connected only to the bass and the right channel only connected to the mid/treble, 'Amp B' is similarly connected to the right hand speaker.

The impedance is quoted as an average of 6 ohms, with a low of 4. When I use a valve amp, I set it to 4. They are much easier to drive than the 83 dB sensitivity implies, because of the way bipolar speakers behave. I am just as happy driving them with 22 valve watts as I am when they are bi-amped with 100 Watts on the bass and 50 on the mid/treble.
