My whole music network is run using Logitech Media Software . I started with this when I bought the then new Squeezebox Touch . Then I ran it on a PC . Then when I bought one I placed the LMS on a Raspberry Pi starting with an A+ , then B then a three and finally a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB . This using Max2play distro and a 2TH SSD hard drive for storage was in place till the start of this year . Then I bought a used LIV Zen which is Vortexbox based and now has an 8TB hard drive . All I can say is LMS works it is very stable and sounds to me as good as any other media software . It is also one of the few media servers that seem to just get upgraded to work with changes BBC Sounds takes over from iPlayer and within two days LMS has a plugin for BBC Sounds . It supports Tidal , Deezer , Spotify , Qobuz . With the addition of the Material Skin GUI it gives you lots of media editions like artist biogs album review and song lyrics . It also can used as a full controller on anything that can access the internet so Phone ,Tablet , Smart TV , PC , MAC . It is supported and kept going by enthusiasts who care about it and are responsive and contactable .
