During the pandemic i saw this Youtube clip, when it was first uploaded, and got so exited that I forced friends and family to watch this charming new band. I also played it many times for myself because it got me on a good mood. Half a year later they where everywhere. (it was the whole session with 3-4 songs originally but I can´t find that any longer)

Anna von Hausswolff, whom I discovered years ago and then rediscovered during lockdown. A unique talent, she plays the church organ among other things and has a wonderful voice. Best of all, she sings with real passion, letting it all out.

I saw Roxy Music live, and was already raving about them when Virginia Plain was released.

I saw Black Sabbath live around 1974 and have loved them ever since. Only with Ozzy, though, I never liked Dio.
The same with Pink Floyd in 1975 at Knebworth. Fantastic gig, that was.

I saw The Sex Pistols for about 50p at South Bank Poly Students Union, I think it was autumn '76, possibly pre Anarchy Tour. It was quite an experience having not seen many punks before, and quite an intimidating and aggressive atmosphere, I remember there being a couple of rucks as some students did not get it. The energy from the band on stage was astounding.

This thread now reminded my about the song "Losing My Edge" by LCD Soundsystem, which lyrics always makes me smile. open.qobuz.com/track/4744457I was born 74 so my references will not go back to the magic years...

First UK show for Joe Bonamassa, Mr Kyps in Poole 2005 - there were about 45 to 50 people there I reckon. He always promised to return after being given his first start in the UK, which he did, a few more people were there the second time! It was a free show via a lottery and I was lucky enough to see both shows.
Joe looked a little different in 2005 than he does now. For me I much prefer the early Bonamassa, his new look and music isn't really my thing.
Sadly the original Mr Kyps is no more, although I believe Kyp does promote some shows around Poole, but the venue is gone.

Totally agree about modern Joe Yeah, Joe puts on 'shows' these days - a very different experience to a music gig.
